FLORENCE, Ala. – The University of North Alabama scored on all five of its first half possessions and held Mississippi College to a season-low 17 points as the Lions posted a 34-17 Homecoming win over the Choctaws.
The win ups UNA's record to 4-3 overall as the Lions picked up their 14
th consecutive Homecoming win. Mississippi College falls to 2-4 on the season.

Damon Cox got his first career 100-yard rushing game with 14 carries for 105 yards. The Lions finished with 404 total yards and quarterback
Christian Lopez completed 15 of 22 passes for 240 yards and two scores.
Mississippi College had 376 total yards.
North Alabama scored on the opening drive of the game, covering 50 yards in six plays.
Christian Lopez hit
Cortez Hall with a 17-yard TD pass and
Chandler Carrera's PAT made it 7-0 at 12:05 of the first quarter.
The Lions made it 14-0 with 2:53 left in the opening period as Lopez scored on a five-yard run.
Mississippi College answered with a 70-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Feazelle to Cole Rotenberry at 2:40 of the first quarter to cut the gap to 14-7 but North Alabama pushed its advantage back to two TDs when Lopez hit
Dexter Boykin with an 11-yard TD pass. That scored with 1:39 left in the first quarter made it 21-7.
A six-yard
Terence Humphrey TD run with 5:50 left in the half made the score 28-7.
A Tiberias Lampkin two-yard TD run at 1:27 of the second quarter made it 28-14 but UNA managed to add a 46-yard
Chandler Carrera field goal on the final play of the half to make it 31-14 at intermission.
The only scoring in the second half came on field goals by each team. MC's Drake McCarter made a 28-yard field goal at 3:50 of the third quarter and Carrera hit a career-long 47-yard field goal with 1:49 left in the game.
Carrera is now 12-of-13 on the season and has made 25 of his last 27 field goal attempts over the last two seasons.
North Alabama plays at Jackson State next Saturday.
