FLORENCE, Ala. -- University of North Alabama receiver
Dre Hall has a signed a free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League.
Hall, a Columbia, Tenn., native and four-year starting receiver for the Lions, becomes UNA's 50th player to sign a free agent contract with an NFL club, in addition to the 19 other Lions who have been drafted by NFL teams.
Hall is UNA's all-time leading receiver with 201 career catches for 3,144 yards and 25 touchdowns. His 11 games with more than 100 receiving yards are also a school record.
A three-time All-Gulf South Conference selection, Hall is the first UNA receiver to sign with an NFL club since 2009 when Mico McSwain (Tennessee Titans) and Preston Parker (Jacksonville Jaguars) both signed.
