TROY DOWNS UNA MEN’S TENNIS 6-0

FLORENCE – Troy took control of all six singles matches to earn a 6-0 victory over the University of North Alabama men's tennis team on Friday. With the loss, the Lions fall to 0-9 on the year.
 
With a delayed start and rain in the area, both teams decided to start with singles play and only use doubles if a tiebreaker was needed. It was not.
 
Troy won all six matches in straight sets to improve to 11-1 on the season.
 
Weather issues also resulted in the cancellation of UNA's schedule match against Kentucky on Sunday. The two teams were set to meet up at 6 p.m. on the campus of Mississippi State.
 
The Lions are set to return to action on Friday, March 8, at Belmont. Match time is set for 3 p.m. on the Bruins' campus in Nashville.
