BEACH VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO FGCU AT ASUN TOURNAMENT

DELAND, Fla., – A 5-0 loss to Florida Gulf Coast in the opening round of the 2019 ASUN Conference Beach Volleyball Tournament pushed North Alabama to the loser's bracket Thursday afternoon at Stetson. UNA will play Coastal Carolina at 8:30 a.m. (Central) Friday morning in an elimination game.

On Thursday, FGCU posted wins at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 2 to quickly clinch the match. The Eagles (15-9) then completed the sweep with wins at No. 3 and No. 1.

North Alabama and Coastal Carolina will meet for the third time this season Friday morning. The Chanticleers recorded 3-2 and 4-1 victories over UNA on April 12 in Florence. The winner will play at 12:30 on Friday.
