Nashville, Tenn. -- North Alabama managed just four hits and was shutout for just the sixth time this season as the Lions dropped a 4-0 decision to Lipscomb in an ASUN Conference baseball game.
With the loss, UNA is now 16-37 overall and 7-15 in ASUN play. Lipscomb improved to 29-23.
The Bisons got a run in the bottom of the first inning as Symonette walked and would eventually score on a sacrifice fly by Dodson to make it 1-0. Lipscomb added three more insurance runs in the fifth on four hits to make it 4-0.
UNA got two hits in the second inning from
Reid Homan and
Tate Mathis but the Lions wouldn't notch another hit until the seventh inning.
North Alabama starter
Jacob Laws (1-7) took the loss, allowing four runs on five hits over five complete innings. He walked three and struckout three.
Josh Stillman pitched three scoreless innngs, allowing just two hits and struckout three.
The Lions play their final game of the season on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Dugan Field.
