WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ADDS INCARNATE WORD TRANSFER

FLORENCE – University of North Alabama women's head basketball head coach Missy Tiber has announced the addition of transfer Olivia Noah to the 2019-20 roster. The 6-1 forward played her freshman and sophomore seasons for Incarnate Word. She will have two remaining seasons of eligibility.

"Olivia is the perfect fit for our program," said Tiber. "She's a very good basketball player, but more importantly a tremendous young lady. Olivia is a stretch four and can flat out shoot the basketball.  She'll be a tremendous asset on offense with her overall skill set and can defend multiple positions on the other end of the floor."

Noah played in 25 games, including one start for the Cardinals last season. She averaged 4.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. She shot 31.3 percent from three-point range and added eight assists, four steals and five blocked shots.

For the year, Noah reached double figures in scoring four times, including a season-high 15 points on Dec. 2 against Texas-Arlington. She also had a team-high 13 points in the season finale at Abilene Christian.

"Olivia will make us a better team as we look to build on this year's success," added Tiber.

UNA will return 10 lettermen and all five starters from last season's team that went 21-9, qualified for the ASUN tournament and advanced to the WBI semi-finals.
