LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The University of North Alabama came out on the short end of a pitching duel Sunday as Little Rock picked up a 2-1 win over the Lions in the final game of a three-game series.

UNA's Chase Best threw a complete-game, allowing just two runs on five hits over eight innings, but was tagged with the loss. He struckout eight batters with no walks. He is now 1-2 on the season.

Little Rock's Aaron Funk pitched a nine-inning complete game, limiting UNA to a run on just four hits. He walked one batter and struckout 17.

All three runs in the game came on solo home runs.

UNA is now 3-9 overall, while Little Rock improved to 8-5.

Little Rock took a 1-0 lead on Houston Parker's solo ho,e run in the third inning and made it 2-0 when Kale Enshoff homered in the fourth.

UNA's Tate Mathis homered in the top of the fifth for UNA's only run of the day.

North Alabama travels to Tuscaloosa to play 12-0 Alabama on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
