WALLEN AMONG ASUN WINNERS FOR LIFE TEAM

ATLANTA, Ga., – North Alabama's Ivy Wallen has been recognized by the ASUN Conference as a member of the 2019-20 Winners for Life Team. The league announced its winter sport honorees on Thursday with a list that includes one student-athlete from each of the nine institutions and honors those who display excellence on and off the playing surface.

Wallen, a 5-7 guard on the UNA women's basketball team, recently wrapped up a record-breaking four-year career for the Lions. She became the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,762 career points and holds three more records, including most career games with double-figure scoring (91), most career field goal attempts (1,480) and most career field goals made (581).

For the year, Wallen helped UNA make its first appearances in the ASUN Championship semifinal. She was a first team all-conference selection for both the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons and was part of a senior class that won a program-record 85 games over a four-year period.

Off the court, the graduating senior is a criminal justice major with a 3.26 GPA and volunteers with BCM Adopt-A-Child, as well as the Special Olympics.
