UNA MEN TO WEAR ‘SHOALS’ JERSEYS FOR SELECT HOME GAMES

FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama men's basketball team will be wearing alternate jerseys featuring 'The Shoals' across the front during select home games this season. The name represents the quad-cities area in Northwest Alabama where UNA is located and is intended to be a tribute to the supporting cities of Florence, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia and Sheffield.

"The University of North Alabama is one of the engines that runs the Shoals community," said UNA men's basketball head coach Tony Pujol. "The Shoals jersey provides our program the opportunity to honor the rich tradition of the school in the Shoals area, while also saying, 'Thank You,' to everyone in Northwest Alabama who supports our program."

The Adidas uniforms are light gray with a purple script and jersey number. The ASUN Conference and Adidas logos are also found in the top corners.

The Lions plan to wear the uniforms three times at home during the regular-season, beginning with the December 1 game against Mississippi Valley State. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. at Flowers Hall. UNA will also sport the jerseys on December 18 against Southeastern Baptist and on January 8 against Jacksonville State.
