UNA Spring Football Quick Facts

FLORENCE, Ala. -- The University of North Alabama football team enjoyed temperatures in the 70s on Wednesday as the Lions went through their second day of 2021 spring practice.

UNA head coach Chris Willis, who has 53 returning lettermen and 21 returning starters from a team that played a rugged four-game fall schedule that included three FBS opponents, said the Lions seem eager to get spring drills started.

"We're excited to be back out here, and I feel like our guys are ready to compete," WIllis said. "We had a lot of folks get playing time in the fall and gain experience. Now's the time for them to get back on the field and improve and show us what they can do and compete for their positions."

Wilis said the Lions will take full advantage of their 15 spring practice dates that will culminate with a Spring Game on Thursday, March 18 at Braly Stadium.

"We will have shorter practices to start with and then progress from there," Willis said.
