UNA MEN FALL 6-1 AT LIPSCOMB

NASHVILLE, Tenn., – Lipscomb posted tiebreaking victories in four different sets on Sunday during a 6-1 home win over the University of North Alabama men's tennis team. With the loss, UNA falls to 3-10 overall and 1-2 in ASUN Conference play.

Doubles victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots gave the Bisons the early lead.

After a straight-sets win at No. 2 singles increased the lead to 2-0, Cade Reasons got UNA on the board with a 7-5, 6-3 win at the No. 6 position. It marked the second straight win for the junior from Jackson, Tenn.

Lipscomb was able to regain control by winning the remaining singles matches. The Bisons got a pair of tiebreaker wins in a 7-6, 7-6 win at the No. 3 spot. Singles positions No. 1 and No. 5 also each went to three sets with the home team getting a tiebreaker in their favor.

The UNA men will return to the court on Thursday, April 1, at Bellarmine. Match time is set for 2 p.m. on the Bellarmine campus in Louisville, Ky.
