LIBERTY TENNIS TOPS UNA MEN TO STAY UNBEATEN

LYNCHBURG, Va., – No. 40 Liberty remained undefeated in ASUN Conference play with a 7-0 home win over the University of North Alabama men's tennis team on Saturday. The Lions fall to 4-11 overall with a 2-3 mark in league matches.
 
The Flames (15-6 overall, 5-0 ASUN) won the doubles point before victories at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 singles clinched the overall win. Liberty added straight-sets win at No. 6 and No. 4 before holding on to complete the sweep at the top position.
 
Carlos Matarredona won the opener 6-3 before dropping the second set by the same score. He came up short 12-10 in the tiebreaker in the final match of the day.
 
The UNA men's team has added a home match against Memphis on April 6. Match time is set for 2 p.m. at the UNA Varsity Tennis Courts.
