LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The University of North Alabama dropped two games to Little Rock on Saturday, losing the opening game 5-1 after playing the final inning of a game halted the day before, and falling in the second game 5-4.
The Lions are now 5-7 overall, while the Trojans improved to 8-4.
Little Rock scored a run in the first inning and added two in the second to take a 3-0 lead in game two. The Lions fought back with two runs in the third inning to cut it to 3-2.
Peyton Thomas had a leadoff single and
Drew Hudson had a single with one away to keep the rally going. An
Austin Thrasher single drove in Thomas and Hudson scored on an error by the leftfielder.
The Trojans then got two insurance runs in the fourth for a 5-2 advantage.
North Alabama pulled within a run in the top of the eighth inning, scoring two runs on a combination of three walks, a hit batter, a throwing error and a timely hit.

Levi Jensen walked to load the bases.
Jonathan Lane delivered a two-run single to center and moved up to second on a throwing error, but he and Jensen would be stranded with UNA still trailing 5-4.

Will Haberstock (1-2) took the loss for UNA, allowing five runs on six hits over five complete innings. He walked two and struckout eight.
Jacob James pitched two and a third innings and allowed just one hit with one walk and one strikeout.
Austin Emener came on to retire the final two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning.
UNA shortstop
Reid Homan went 0-for-4 in the game, ending his 11-game hitting streak to open the season.
The Lions and Trojans are scheduled to play a double-header Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.
