CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- North Alabama led 3-1 in the seventh inning but couldn't hold it as Austin Peay rallied to down the Lions 5-3 at Raymond C. Hand Park.
North Alabama got two runs in the top of the first inning as
Austin Thrasher and
Jonathan Lane both singled and later scored on a two-run single by
Drew Hudson.
The Lions continued to lead 2-0 until the fifth inning when the Governors put an unearned run on the board on a wild pitch.
UNA got that run back in the top of the sixth when
Reid Homan doubled and scored on a
Zak Majer RBI-single to make it 3-1.
North Alabama starter
Jacob Bradshaw started the game and pitched six complete innings, allowing just the one unearned run on seven hits with three walks and one strikeout.
Will Morris came on in the seventh and was roughed up for three runs on four hits in one inning of work. He took the loss to fall to 2-2.
Caden Barnett allowed the final run to score in the bottom of the eighth.
Lane led UNA with three hits in the game.
UNA is now 9-29 overall entering a weekend home ASUN series against Jacksonville State.
