HODGES RECEIVES COSIDA PRESIDENT'S AWARD

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- University of North Alabama Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications Jeff Hodges was honored at the recent College Sports Information Directors of America's (CoSIDA) annual convention as a recipient of the President's Award for 2022.

Hodges was one of nine CoSIDA members recognized by out-going President Cindy Potter for exemplary volunteer service and leadership within the organization's committee structure in support of programs that benefit CoSIDA members. Hodges received the award for his work with the CoSIDA Executive Director Search Committee.

It was his sixth all-time CoSIDA award, which is the second most by anyone in the history of the profession, and he becomes the only person to have received the President's Award twice.

Hodges was inducted into the CoSIDA Hall of Fame and received the Warren Berg Award as the organization's top College Division sports information director in 1997.

In 2009 he received a 25-Year Award, marking the time when he began his career at UNA in 1983.

In 2016 he received the President's Award for his efforts with CoSIDA's Strategic Planning Committee, and he followed with the Arch Ward Award in 2017, which is given to the top athletics communication professional, regardless of division. He was just the second person from a non-Division I school to win that award since it was originated in 1958.

Hodges recently completed his 39th year as communications director for UNA Athletics.
