FLORENCE, Ala. (October 4, 2023) – The University of North Alabama women's basketball team is just over a month away from its regular season opener against UT Southern inside CB&S Bank Arena at Flowers Hall.

This preseason Lion Vision Update catches up with UNA women's basketball coach Missy Tiber, senior forward Ruth Balogun and sophomore guard Alyssa Clutter. Tiber's squad finished with 15 wins last season to mark the program's highest win total since winning 21 games in 2019-20.

UNA fans will get their first opportunity to meet the Lions at Purple Pandemonium this Friday, Oct. 6 from 6-7 p.m. on Court Street in downtown Florence as part of "First Fridays." The event is free of charge and open to the public. The Lions will also join their conference peers at the inaugural ASUN Tipoff event set for Monday, Oct. 16 in Clarksville, Tenn. UNA Women's Basketball will be represented by Tiber, seniors Sara Wohlgemuth and Alexis Callins, and sophomore Rhema Pegues.
