BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- UAB claimed the doubles point and then took five of the six singles matches to take a 6-1 win over North Alabama in men's tennis action at the Hoover Met Tennis Center.
North Alabama's lone win came at No. 4 singles where
Nazar Fedoryshyn outlasted UAB's Thanos Spyropoulos in a third set tie breaker, 7-6, 3-6, 10-6.
UNA's
Guilherme Diniz pushed his match at No. 3 singles to a third and deciding set before falling 7-5, as did
Jamie Bixby at No. 6. He fell 6-3 in the final set.
With the loss, North Alabama is now 1-3 on the season and will host Chattanooga on Friday, Feb. 17 in Florence.
