LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of North Alabama women's basketball team forced 22 turnovers and claimed a 66-49 ASUN Conference road win at Bellarmine to remain in the hunt for a spot in the upcoming ASUN Conference Tournament.
The win gave UNA a season sweep of the Knights.
The Lions, now 11-14 overall and 6-8 in conference play, led 20-14 after the first quarter but scored only four points in the second period to allow the Knights to pull within a point at intermission at 24-23.
UNA rolled in the third quarter, outscoring Bellarmine 27-14 to take control of the game.
Jade Moore led UNA with 16 points, hitting four three-point baskets, Emma Kate Title had 15 points and
Alexis Callins added 12.
Ruth Balogun led UNA with nine rebounds,
Skyler Gill had seven, Tittle six and Callins five. Gill also blocked three shots and had eight steals.
North Alabama will play the first of four regular season games remaining on Tuesday at Central Arkansas at 3:00 p.m. The Lions will then host Jacksonville on Thursday, February 23 at SB&S Bank Arena at 6:00 p.m.
