DELAND, Fla. – The University of North Alabama beach volleyball team lost its final two matches in the Stetson Sun-N-Sand Invitational, despite wins at No. 1 by
Paula Klemperer and
Taylor Seney over both Coastal Carolina and 17
th ranked Stetson.
The Lions lost both team matches 4-1 to fall to 12-11 overall.
Klemperer and Seney were the bright spot as they pushed their record to 3-1 for the weekend. On Saturday they defeated Martine Kragholm and Sarah Riedellof Castal Carolina 21-18, 21-14 and followed with a three-set, 16-21, 21-19, 15-11 win over Stetson's Karin Zolnercikova and Shae Henson.
The Lions continue their road trip, facing Jacksonville and North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla., on Monday.
