ATLANTA, Ga. (August 10, 2023) – University of North Alabama senior forward Alice Bussey has been named to the Preseason All-ASUN Team.

Bussey was named to the ASUN All-Conference third team following her 2022 campaign.

"It's a really exciting way to start the season," said head coach Chris Walker, "It's a nice confidence boost for her and hopefully she picks up where she left off last year."

Bussey started 16 of the Lions 18 games last season where she tallied 6 goals and an assist. The forward was tied for fourth in the ASUN in goals in 2022. Bussey scored two goals in a game on three separate occasions. 

The Hythe, England native has appeared in 43 matches for the Lions and started in 38 across her career. She has tallied 10 goals and two assists in her three year career with the Lions. 

The Lions host Middle Tennessee State for an exhibition on August 10 at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.

The Lions open their regular season on August 17 on the road against Belmont.
