FLORENCE, Ala. (September 27, 2023) – On Wednesday, the University of North Alabama Department of Athletics announced a new spotlight featuring local student-athletes with ties to the Shoals area titled "Homegrown Series" presented by First Southern Bank.

The first student-athlete to be featured in the Homegrown Series is redshirt junior defensive lineman Grant Wisdom of UNA Football. Wisdom is a former Deshler High School standout from Muscle Shoals, Ala. and is the son of former UNA Football player and coach Harold Wisdom. He is interviewed by UNA baseball's Dominick McIntyre.
