BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (October 24, 2024) – The University of North Alabama men's tennis team is set to embark on its fourth fall season tournament this weekend with the CCB Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
Hosted by Samford, the Lions will compete in singles and doubles action from Friday, Oct. 25 to Sunday, Oct. 27. UNA faces a field that includes in-state rivals Samford, UAB and South Alabama, along with out-of-state programs Belmont, Tulane and Louisiana.
North Alabama returns to the court after recently competing in the ITA Southern Regional tournament, where the Lions played against players from programs in the Southern region. UNA had a solid performance on the campus of LSU, finishing the tournament with 13 wins.
UNA will rematch some previous opponents this weekend, as during the Samford Invite, UNA faced both the Bulldogs and Blazers and combined for 17 singles and doubles wins from Sept. 13-15. The Lions have also had individual bouts against players from the two schools plus South Alabama and Tulane in last week's ITA tournament.
Full results and a recap will be posted on RoarLions.com following the action, but fans can also follow along on the UNA Tennis social media pages.
