FLORENCE, Ala. (January 7, 2025) – The 2025 softball season is exactly one month away, as North Alabama head coach Ashley Cozart officially announced the full schedule on Tuesday. The Lions will play 52 games with 23 of those in Florence.
The season begins in Montgomery on Feb. 7-9 at the Stinger Classic hosted by Alabama State. UNA's home opener is set for Feb. 26 against Memphis at Hilda B. Anderson Softball Stadium.
The premium event of the season is set for Wednesday, March 26 against Alabama, as the Lions will host the Crimson Tide at the Florence Sportsplex. Two years ago, this game drew a school record of 4,009 fans. Tickets can be purchased here.
Softball season tickets are on sale now at this link. The season ticket package only includes the 22 games at Hilda B. Anderson Softball Stadium and will not include the Alabama game. For more information, call 256-765-5466 (LION) or email athleticstickets@una.edu.
"This year's schedule will be one of the most challenging we have had but one of the most exciting, as well," said Cozart, who enters her 12th season. "We play more SEC teams than we ever have and we get to host Alabama at home this year on March 26. I am excited about several of our non-conference games that include Memphis, Louisiana-Monroe, Tennessee Tech and Samford.
"We will have divisional play in conference this year, which will make our conference schedule tougher. We are so excited about the challenge and seeing what this team can do."
