FLORENCE, Ala. (November 17, 2025) – University of North Alabama head women's basketball coach Candi Whitaker announced the signing of four players on Monday for the early-signing period class.
The Lions added depth at the guard position with the addition of Sheridan Beal, Belize Ibanez Menguc and Jayden Scott with forward Sayler Lowe rounding out the class.
"We are thrilled to add these four to our basketball family." said Whitaker. "Each of them brings a unique skill set, versatility and a competitive fire that will immediately impact our program. I'm excited about the future and cannot wait to get to work with them. They are winners both on and off the court."
Sheridan Beal – West Bloomfield, Michigan. (West Bloomfield HS) – Guard
- 2025 Michigan All-State
- 2024 Division 1 State Champion
- Varsity Team Captain (2024-2025, 2025-2026)

Belize Ibanez Menguc – Stockholm, Sweden – Guard
- Currently playing for RIG Luleå in Luleå, Sweden
- 2025 U18 Women's EuroBasket Gold Medalist with Swedish National Team
- Averaged 7.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists
- 2024 Baltic Basketball Cup Most Valuable Player

- Five-time District Tournament Team
- Four-time Region Tournament Team
- Four-time All-Purchase Player
- Two-time Second Team All-State selection
- Junior All Star Team selection
- Currently, No. 3 all-time in career scoring at Calloway County
