BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (November 7, 2025) – The University of North Alabama women's tennis are set to play in the Bonita Bay Club Collegiate Open this weekend from Nov. 7-9 in Bonita Springs, Fla.
The Lions will play in their final tournament of the fall season, hosted by fellow Atlantic Sun Conference school FGCU. The Lions will take on the hosts along with American Conference opponent Memphis and Big 12 member Colorado. North Alabama looks to add to its fall win tally after totaling 64 victories through five tournaments played.
Last time out, UNA's Emma Ansorge, Louise Booker, Farah Asaad and Sammie Schouten competed in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic from Oct. 31 through Nov. 1. The Lions registered eight wins in the two-day tournament with all four Lions winning a match.
Asaad led with four total wins, earning two wins each in singles and doubles. Booker tallied three wins, including two doubles victories with Asaad. Ansorge earned two wins in singles play, and Schouten left with a singles victory.
The tournament in Florida sees both doubles and singles action across the three days. Each team will play a different opponent in regulation-style format. The day will start with doubles followed by singles matches.
Tournament play opens Friday with the Lions facing FGCU at 4 p.m. Saturday continues with UNA battling Memphis at 12:30 p.m. before ending the weekend against Colorado on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 9 a.m.
