TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 21, 2026) – The University of North Alabama beach volleyball team triumphed over UAB on Saturday to conclude its weekend at the FSU Unconquered Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Lions return to Florence with three wins after taking two on day one over Cal State Bakersfield and Southeastern Louisiana. UNA began Saturday with a defeat to host school No. 8 Florida State but rebounded with its second win all-time over the Blazers.
Wins from graduate Audrey Gauthier and Selma Robinson helped clinch the win over the in-state foe, along with sophomores Jennah Atchley and Brooke Bolden. Graduate Sarah Larkin Lewis and sophomore Paige Griner played the heroes against UAB with a court-two triumph to take the victory.
Match 1 — #8 Florida State 5, North Alabama 0
The opening dual saw the Seminoles take the win over the Lions, with all five flights won in two sets. Flights one and three were close in the first set, but the Seminoles held on for the sweep.

Match 2 — North Alabama 3, UAB 2
UNA's second all-time win over UAB came in thrilling fashion. The first four courts were split at two apiece, but Griner and Lewis secured the team win after a three-set thriller from court two. They came back from a dropped 22-20 first set to take the remaining two, 21-19, 15-13 over Isabel Day and Pien Grooters.
Atchley and Bolden earned UNA's first win from court four with a 21-18, 21-19 triumph over Delaney Rich Ashley Torsone. Robinson and Gauthier tied the dual at 2-2 with a 21-17, 17-21, 15-13 win over Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant from court one.
Griner and Lewis gave UNA the win on court two.
