NOTES
SCOUTING THE LIONS: North Alabama looks to rebound from its 4-3 setback last time out vs. Samford on Jan 30. The Bulldogs claimed the doubles point, but the Lions rallied back in singles with three wins. Samford would take three singles, respectively, to clinch the home win. Despite the result, senior Eeva Ristola, junior Emma Ansorge and junior Louise Booker all moved to 2-0 in singles after respective victories. Ristola, Ansorge, junior and No. 104 Mathilde Delaney and freshman Farah Asaad are all tied for the team lead with one doubles victory.
SCOUTING LOUISIANA: The Ragin' Cajuns sport a 2-0 record and look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. Louisiana opened the season with two wins over Louisiana Christian and Southern on Jan. 22. The Ragin' Cajuns are coming off a 9-10 record in Spring 2025 with a 2-8 record in the Sun Belt Conference. Louisiana are perfect on the season with a 6-0 team singles record and 4-0 doubles mark. Angelique Berrat and Rocio Navarro lead with two singles wins while Martina Della Gora and Nina Krecklenberg have the team-high two doubles wins. Stephanie Vallejos leads the Ragin' Cajuns in her 11th season.
SCOUTING JACKSON STATE: The Tigers look to claim its first season win in their fifth outing of the campaign. Jackson State had a solid season in Spring 2025, going 14-10 with an 8-1 record in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. They were the runner ups at the 2025 SWAC Tournament but excelled during the Fall 2025 campaign with a HBCU National Tennis Championship on Sept. 21, 2025. Five players have a singles win this season, led by two from Tiara Alvarez. The Tigers are led by first-year head coach Stas Smirnov.
SERIES HISTORY: North Alabama looks to stay perfect against Jackson State, sporting a 3-0 record. This weekend will be the first all-time meeting with Louisiana.
