JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (February 9, 2026) – Coming off two wins this past weekend, the University of North Alabama women's tennis team is set for a Tuesday road dual at Jacksonville State on Feb. 10.
UNA looks to make it three wins in a row in the meeting against the in-state rival Gamecocks. The dual will take place at the Jax State Tennis Courts with first serve set for 1:30 p.m.

SCOUTING THE LIONS: North Alabama got its second and third win of the season in road action against Louisiana and Jackson State on Feb. 6. The Lions defeated the Ragin' Cajuns, 4-1, before sweeping the Tigers, 4-0. All seven UNA players gained a win, led by four total wins from junior Emma Ansorge. Junior Mathilde Delaney tallied three wins followed by two each freshmen Farah Asaad and Sammie Schouten. Junior Louise Booker with seniors Eeva Ristola and Senem Ocal rounded out the weekend with one win.
SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE STATE: The Gamecocks enter with a 1-1 record on the season, last time out claiming their first win in a home sweep over Lee on Feb. 7. Jacksonville State is coming off a 10-8 record in Spring 2025 with a quarterfinal appearance in the Conference USA Championship Tournament. The Gamecocks are winning doubles at a 63.6 percent rate but excel in singles with a 71.4 percent win rate. Irene Artigas and Sae Kaneko both have a team-leading six wins with three victories each in singles and doubles. Michael Helms leads Jacksonville State in his third season.
SERIES HISTORY: North Alabama and Jacksonville State face each other for the 24th time in the all-time series. The Gamecocks lead the series, 17-6, but the Lions look to make it three-straight wins. UNA swept Jacksonville State on March 9, 2024, followed by a 4-1 home victory on Feb. 25, 2025.
