FLORENCE, Ala. (March 18, 2026) – North Alabama Women's Tennis team triumphed for an 11th-straight time Wednesday afternoon with a 4-0 sweep over Chattanooga in Florence, Ala.
North Alabama (12-2) added another win to its tally while continuing to be perfect at home at 6-0. The victory additionally tied a program record for consecutive wins – a record the Lions set during the Spring 2025 season.
UNA got a quick start with two 6-3 wins in doubles. Singles wins from courts two, three and six settled the dual and gave North Alabama the 3-2 advantage in the all-time series.
Juniors Emma Ansorge and Mathilde Delaney registered two wins in singles and doubles for the third-straight dual. Ansorge continues to remain undefeated on the season with her 11th singles win and 10th doubles triumph. Delaney added her seventh singles win while improving to 10-0 in doubles with Ansorge.
Senior Eeva Ristola and freshman Farah Asaad won their top-flight doubles match for the seventh of the season. Senior Senem Ocal clinched the dual to tally her second of the campaign.
Asaad and Ristola nabbed the first doubles win with a 6-3 victory over Rufaro Magarira and Savannah Presson. Ansorge and Delaney followed with their own 6-3 win over Addison Iacono and Emma Pedretti to clinch doubles.
Delaney's momentum continued into singles with 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Pedretti from court three. Ansorge secured her second win of the day in a 6-1, 6-3 victory against Presson from court two. The clinching match saw Ocal rout Ella Mancuso, 6-4, 6-0, from court six to end the day.
