TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (March 26, 2026) – The University of North Alabama softball team took the field against one of the premiere programs in the country Wednesday, falling 12-0 to the sixth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide at Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Despite the loss, North Alabama (21-8) remains among the top NCAA teams in win percentage, ranked 32nd at .724.
This was game two of a doubleheader for No. 6 Alabama (31-2), which hosted Jacksonville State just 30 minutes prior to first pitch against UNA. The Tide now have the fifth-best win percentage in the country.
Following a 10-3 win over JSU, the nationally-ranked Crimson Tide continued to roll against the Lions with five runs in the first inning and seven the rest of the way. The pitching staff completed a perfect game.
For UNA, three pitchers took the circle. Senior Rylee Tittle pitched the fourth and allowed just one run. Senior Katie Simon led with three strikeouts over two innings.
