CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 11, 2026) – The University of North Alabama beach volleyball team earned two wins Saturday over Berry College and UT Martin to conclude the Scenic City Showdown in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The weekend was highlighted by a program-record achievement from senior Selma Robinson. Robinson made history by becoming the all-time wins leader with her and graduate Audrey Gauthier's win against Berry. The victory marked the 89th of her career, moving ahead of the 88 career wins set by former partner and UNA standout, Katy Floyd. Floyd broke the record herself slightly over a year ago, earning her then-record 84th win on April 5, 2025.
North Alabama (18-12) closed its away schedule with the two wins Saturday, bringing the weekend team total to three after defeating EKU on Friday. The final road invitational sees the Lions heading into their final home event with 14 wins in combined road and neutral-site action. UNA has been particularly solid in neutral-site matches, going 13-7 this season.
Robinson and Gauthier finished 3-0 on the day, with Gauthier also setting a career mark this weekend with her 75th career win. Graduate Sarah Larkin Lewis and sophomore Paige Griner additionally went unbeaten on day two with three wins.
Reigning Atlantic Sun Conference Pair of the Week Jennah Atchley and Brooke Bolden, both sophomores, earned two wins to increase their weekend total to three. Junior Abby Robertson and freshman Karsyn Griffin had a strong finish to the day after tallying two wins against Berry and UT Martin.
Freshman Emma White rounds out the day's winners after earning two wins on the extra court with sophomore Mabrey Whitehead and freshman Gaby Harnden.
MATCH 1 – Chattanooga 3, North Alabama 2
The Lions started day two with a competitive affair against the hosts, but the Mocs prevailed to take the win. Chattanooga claimed three-straight wins to clinch from flights three, four and five, but UNA's top two flights were victorious in their respective bouts.
Griner and Lewis defeated Julia Lawrence and Corina Vale in a 21-19, 21-16 win from flight two. Gauthier and Robinson triumphed over McKenna Faychak and Maddie Lecik in 23-21, 13-21, 15-12 battle from flight one.

MATCH 2 – North Alabama 4, Berry 1
UNA returned to its winning ways in match two, routing Berry to secure the first win of the day. The top three flights were victorious along with flight five and the extra court in the dominant display over the Vikings.
White and Whitehead were the first to win on the extras court, defeating Grace Mau and Ryn Gaertner, 21-10, 21-10. Griffin and Robertson won the first match in regulation with a 21-10, 21-15 victory over Riley Kessler and Maddi Hoffman from flight five. Berry equaled the team score with a win from flight four to respond.
Atchley and Bolden excelled in their flight-three bout with a 21-11, 21-12 win over Kaylee Howell and Ailee England. Griner and Lewis clinched the team win after downing Becky Blades and Keira Kruk from flight two, 21-19, 21-10. Gauthier and Robinson earned the team's fourth point after a 17-21, 21-10, 15-7 comeback victory over Kara Schmit and Madie Whitehead from flight one.

North Alabama tallied its third win of the weekend with another strong performance in the final dual of the invitational. Similar to Berry, the Lions earned wins from the top three flights with additional victories from flight five and the extra court.
White and Harnden combined for a 21-18, 21-11 win over MC Rehm and Carly Mueller to start the outing from the extras court. Griffin and Robertson put the Lions on the board after defeating Kristin Phillips and Andie Kryak from court five, 21-16, 21-17.
UT Martin tied the dual with a fourth-flight win, but Griner and Lewis responded with a 21-11, 21-13 triumph against Maddy Gladson and Raegan McGee from court two. Atchley and Bolden provided the winning team point after fending off Dylan Sulcer and Luli Arcucci from court three, 21-16, 17-21, 15-10. Gauthier and Robinson capped off their career weekend with a 21-17, 21-15 victory from flight one over Riley Rushing and Kayla Bryant.
