LePage homers twice in late-inning loss to Bellarmine, 9-6

Tyler LePage was the ninth Lion to have a two-home run game this season

FLORENCE, Ala. (May 3, 2026) — The University of North Alabama baseball team lost its series finale to Bellarmine, 9-6, on Sunday at Mike D. Lane Field at Bank Independent Stadium.

North Alabama (24-22, 15-9 ASUN) got a strong performance from second baseman Tyler LePage, the nine-hole hitter, who hit two home runs. LePage became the ninth Lion this season to hit two or more home runs in a single game.

Others to accomplish the feat include Dylan Coleman, who has done it three times, and Will Millard, who has done it twice. Petey Craska, Nash Rippen and Wes Walker have each done it once.

Bellarmine (19-27, 11-13 ASUN) took advantage of North Alabama's four errors, scoring three runs off the miscues. The Knights recorded 12 hits and batted .316 in the win.

Bellarmine scored four runs after North Alabama's Luke Davenport exited in the ninth inning. The Knights used an error and four hit batters to score in the final frame.

Rippen and LePage each recorded two-hit games to lead the Lions. LePage drove in five of North Alabama's six runs.

Reese Young got the start and pitched 4.1 innings, allowing one earned run in his outing.

Davenport entered in the fifth inning and threw three scoreless innings; he struck out six and allowed three hits. After a misstep on the mound, the Lions took precautionary measures and replaced him with Kelly Crumpton.

The Lions remain one game ahead in the Atlantic Sun Gold Division standings after the series loss. Central Arkansas and Lipscomb are tied for second at 14-10, while Austin Peay sits at 12-12.

North Alabama travels to Central Arkansas for its final road conference series of the season.
