SLU won the 2021 meeting in Florence by a 49-28 final, as SLU was ranked No. 15/17 in the FCS polls at the time. That 2021 meeting was the only one between the two as FCS opponents. Another fun note — UNA and SLU are two of five teams to go by "Lions" in FCS along with Columbia, East Texas A&M and Lindenwood.

8. UNA FOOTBALL NIGHT AT LOST PIZZA: Fans are reminded to head over to Lost Pizza Shoals in downtown Florence on Monday nights during football season for the UNA Football Hour with Coach Brent Dearmon and select guests, including coaches and student-athletes. The stadium is located on Pine Street between Mike D. Lane Field and CB&S Bank Arena. For more information, click here.
