STEPHENVILLE, Texas (September 25, 2026) – The University of North Alabama volleyball team travels to Stephenville, Texas for a road match in United Athletic Conference play against Tarleton State on Saturday.
The match will be played inside Wisdom Gym and will begin at 1 p.m. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+ with live stats available on StatBroadcast.

NOTES
SCOUTING THE LIONS: North Alabama enters the match with an 11-3 record and 1-0 record in the UAC following a thrilling five-set win over Abilene Christian on Thursday at home. The Lions are currently leading the UAC in six categories. These include hitting percentage (.250), assists per set (12.33), kills per set (13.13), opponent blocks per set (1.72), opponent service aces per set (1.00) and digs per set (16.59).
SCOUTING THE TEXANS: Tarleton State enters the match with a 5-9 overall record. The Texans are 1-0 in the UAC after defeating UT Arlington in their home gym. Tarleton State was ranked ahead of North Alabama in the preseason rankings, earning 66 votes and ranking third. They also received one Preseason All-UAC selection, Alyssa Dinh, who has 91 kills this season with a .389 hitting percentage. She also leads the team in blocks with 44.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST TARLETON STATE: This match marks the first meeting between the Lions and Texans.
2K KINSLEE: Junior setter Kinslee McGowan reached a career milestone in the match against Abilene Christian on Sept. 24, achieving 2,000 career assists. In the match against the Wildcats, she also reached a season high with 49 assists. McGowan previously broke the Division I single-season assists record in the 2025 season with 1,164.
SEASON HIGHS: In the match against Abilene Christian on Sept. 24, four Lions reached personal season highs. McGowan had 49 assists with her previous season high being 39. Freshman Anna Hoffmayer reached three season highs after 12 kills, three block solos and seven total blocks. Hoffmayer continues to lead the team in blocks with 43. Sophomore Ally Greenwell achieved a season high of digs, recording 16 digs. She previously recorded 15 at Samford on Sept. 11.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: North Alabama did not see a home match from Sept. 6-23. UNA played six-straight away matches, including trips to Florida State and Liberty. The Lions came home for the first conference match to face Abilene Christian on Sept. 24 and had to catch a flight the next morning to Tarleton State.
MARTINDALE MAGIC: Senior libero Ava Martindale leads the team with 222 digs and averages 4.83 per set. She ranks third in the UAC in digs per set.
KILLER QUEENS: North Alabama has three Lions with 100+ kills. Junior Reese Ricketts has continued to lead the team and has 153 this season. Junior Dylann Garner ranks second on the team and totals 132 kills and already has half of her total from the 2025 season. Senior Phoebe Reyes Fortunato has 129 kills this season to rank third on the team. She also has a .287 hitting percentage.
