Biography
UNA 2016-17: Hodge played in all 29 games with 26 starts on the season...averaged nine points per game...shot 72-of-193 from the floor, including 35 three-pointers...hit 76.9 percent from the free throw line...also recorded 64 rebounds, 47 assists, 26 steals and a blocked shot...had 12 games with double digits in scoring...scored a season-high 20 points on Nov. 26 at home against Lane.
UNA 2015-16: He was one of three players to start all 29 games for the Lions during the 2015-16 season...averaged 9.1 points per game and was second on the team in total minutes played...totaled 263 points with 10 games in double figures...had 62 assists, two blocked shots and 23 steals...shot 38.2 percent from the floor, including a 39.4 percent showing from three-point range.
UNA 2014-15: He played in all 30 games with seven starts as a red-shirt freshman...recorded 37 assists wiht 22 steals and 191 points in the year...went 62-of-176 from the floor and hit 34.5 percent from three-point range and 66.7 percent from the free throw line...had a career-high 21 points at home against Christian Brothers and ended the season with back-to-back double figure games in scoring to earn Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week honors.
UNA 2013-14: He received a red-shirt for the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: He played at Center Point High School for coach Rodney Chatman...played point guard and shooting guard for the Eagles as the team advanced to the Class 5A state championship game...also helped lead the team to an area title and back-to-back county championships...was a two-time all-area and all-county selection and was named MVP of the 2013 county tournament...was also named MVP of th e2013 regional and Final Four tournaments...was named the Northeast Regional Player of the Year.
PERSONAL: His full name is Jeffrey Allen Hodge, Jr.. He is the son of Jeff and Carmen Hodge. He was born on May 2, 1995 and has one brother, David, and one sister, Chatay McGee. He is majoring in sports management at UNA.
