Biography

UNA 2015-16: Timms was one of three players to start all 29 games for UNA last season...he was second on the team in field goal percentage, shooting 46.1 percent from the floor...he reached double figures in scoring 17 times, reaching 20 points in three games...totaled 321 points, 30 steals and 44 assists...was also second on the team with 14 blocked shots.

COLLEGE: He played two seasons for coach Grant Pate at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi...averaged 10.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in his second season, earning a spot on the MACJC North Division All-Star team...scored a career-high 19 points vs. Northwest Mississippi and added 16 rebounds against Coahoma...averaged 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest as a freshman as Itawamba won the MACJC North Division title and state championship.

HIGH SCHOOL: He played for coach Jeff Talley at Mooreville High School in Mississippi...helped the team to a 27-5 record as a senior, averaging 13.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game...was a first team all-division selection and was an all-star selection as a junior and a senior...also lettered in baseball for the Troopers.

PERSONAL: His full name is Austin Drew Timms. He is the son of David and Amanda Timms. He was born on August 10, 1995 and has one brother and one sister. He is majoring in physical education at UNA.
