Biography

UNA 2016-17: McGee saw action in all 29 games for the Lions last season...he started 15 times and shot 45.1 percent from the floor on 74-of-164 shooting...averaged 7.1 points per game and was second on the team with 161 total rebounds...added eight assists, 12 steals and led the team with 13 blocked shots...recorded three double-doubles on the year, including a 16-point, 11-rebound performanceon Nov. 19 against Cumberland.

COLLEGE: He played for coach Bubby Shelton at Northwest Mississippi Community College...averaged 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds-per-game with 12 double-doubles while shooting 52 percent from the floor...added 64 blocks, 26 assists and 19 steals...was a 2015 second team All-MACJC selection and participant in the MACJC All-Star Game...also had a team-best eight double-doubles while averaging 13.4 points and 8.7 rebounds-per-game as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: He played for Christian Faith Academy under coach Randy Pulley…was an all-conference selection and helped the team win a conference championship... averaged 21 points per game…was named the 2013 Ironton Classic MVP…also played varsity football at Ragsdale High School in Jamestown North Carolina.

PERSONAL: His full name Sharwyn McGee. He is the son to Sharwyn Saigo and Thomasina McGee. He was born September 8, 1995 and has six brothers and one sister. He is majoring in sports management at UNA.
