The University of North Alabama baseball program has a rich tradition when it comes to seeing its former players advancing to professional baseball careers. UNA has had 15 players selected in the Major League Draft, including pitcher Tyler Joyner in 2018 by the Baltimore Orioles. From the more than 50 former Lions who have gone on to play professional baseball, UNA has seen five of its former players reach the Major Leagues and two have played in the World Series.
