UNA 2014: Transitioned from the bullpen to a starting role in 2014...tied for the team lead with 14 starts and all 14 appearances were as a starter...prior to 2014 45 of his 46 appearances had been in relief...had a 5-5 record with three complete games...3.18 earned run average, allowing 39 runs and 33 earned in 93.1 innings pitched...walked 22 and struckout a team-high 54...opponents hit .276 against him...allowed 14 extra-base hits but no home runs...threw six wild pitches and hit seven batters...wins were against Lemoyne-Owen, West Alabama, Christian Brothers, Lee and Shorter...losses to Florida Tech, West Florida, Delta State, Valdosta State and Lander...earned Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Week honors and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association South Region Pitcher of the Week honors on Feb. 11 after pitching a seven-inning complete-game shutout against Lemoyne-Owen where he allowed just three hits and struckout 12...selected Academic All-Gulf South Conference... UNA 2013: A two-year letterman who has pitched in 46 games for the Lions over the last two seasons...45 of his 46 appearances have been in relief...had a 1-2 record with one save as a sophomore with a 3.71 earned run average...pitched 26.2 innings, allowing 11 earned runs...gave up 30 hits, walked 13 and hit two batters...recorded 23 strikeouts...gave up seven extra-base hits - four doubles and three home runs...one balk and no wild pitches...UNA 2012: He was the work-horse for the UNA bullpen in 2012, making 31 relief appearances for the Lions...finished with a 7-1 record and three saves...had a team-best 2.52 earned run average, allowing just 19 runs and 15 earned runs in 53.2 innings of work...recorded 44 strikeouts and was just 12...his longest pitching stint of the season was five innings against Ouachita Baptist in the fifth game of the season...pitched a combined 11.1 innings for UNA in the post-season...wins came over Ouachita Baptist, West Alabama, Harding, Montevallo, Christian Brothers, Union and Alabama-Huntsville...the win over UAH was in the GSC Tournament...only loss was at Freed-Hardeman...HIGH SCHOOL: Pitched and played center field at Florence High School under head coach Warren Fowler...helped lead the Falcons to the state playoffs in 2011...led the team in earned run average every year from 2007-2011.
