HIGH SCHOOL: Ahmad played for Sammy Brittain at Torrance High School...he averaged 13 points, eight rebounds and 3.5 blocked shots per game for the Monsoon...helped lead the team to back-to-back appearances in the state tournament, including a second-round showing and a Pioneer League Championship during his junior season...was named MVP and Defensive Player of the Year of the Pioneer League as a junior after averaging a double-double...was an All-Southern California selection and South Bay All-Star...set the school record for career blocked shots...also lettered in volleyball and was the team MVP as a sophomore.
