Nick Ruebel

Nick Ruebel enters his third season on staff for the North Alabama men's basketball team. After serving one year as video coordinator, he was named director of basketball operations in 2019.

An Ohio native, Ruebel was a four-year student manager for the Ohio State University women’s basketball team, serving one season as interim video coordinator and sharing head manager duties during his final two seasons. While at OSU, the Lady Buckeyes enjoyed four NCAA tournament appearances, two trips to the Sweet 16, back to back Big Ten regular season championships (2017 and 2018) and one Big Ten tournament title (2018).
 
While at Ohio State, Ruebel was responsible for filming practices and games, creating highlight reels for players and recruits and preparing both written and video scouting reports. He also managed the male practice squad while assisting with operations, equipment, campus recruiting visits, off season skill development and running the youth summer day camp.
 
In addition to his duties at OSU, Ruebel also worked at his alma mater, St. Francis DeSales High School in Columbus as boys basketball scout, moving up to assistant junior varsity coach for two seasons. Ruebel also has multi-year experience in coaching and operations for Ohio boys AAU basketball.
 
Ruebel graduated from the Ohio State University in December 2017 with a degree in consumer and family financial services.
