Biography
UNA 2014: De Leon was one of four players to see action in all 32 matches for UNA last season...she played in 115 sets and was the starting setter in 30 matches for the Lions...led the Gulf South Conference in total assists (1,240) and assists per set (10.51)...had 16 double-doubles on the year...was second on the team with 333 digs and produced a 2.90 digs-per-set average...also recorded 52 kills, 21 service aces and 19 total blocks...produced a season-high 58 assists twice.
COLLEGE: She played two seasons at Georgia State...saw action at setter in 34 matches for the NCAA Division I Panthers.
HIGH SCHOOL: She played at San Juan's Bonneville School...was selected to the coaches All-Alliance Team four straight seasons...helped win a JVA World Championship at the 16 Open Level with her touring Puerto Rico team...was also a member of the 2011Â Puerto Rico junior national championship team.
PERSONAL: Her full name is Andrea M. De Leon Tejeda. She is the daughter of Arelis Tejeda and Pedro De Leon. She was born on April 6, 1994 and has two brothers, Pedro and Christian, and two sisters, Kiara and Gabriela. She is a biology/pre-med major at UNA.
