David Gordon

David Gordon enters his third season as assistant volleyball coach at North Alabama. He came to UNA after spending six seasons as an assistant at Palm Beach Atlantic.

During his time at PBA under current UNA head coach Bob White, Gordon worked with setters and outside hitters. He coached three All-Americans at each position as the Sailfish advanced to the NCAA Tournament each year, including a Division II runner-up finish in 2015. PBA advanced to the regional final in four of his six years. After winning the South Region and advancing to the national championship match in 2015, the Sailfish posted another regional title the following year before falling in the Final Four.
 
Prior to PBA, Gordon was a successful high school coach at Lakeland Christian in Florida. He also directed numerous volleyball teams on foreign tours in Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama.
 
A native of California, Gordon attended both Biola University and LeTourneau College where he competed as a baseball player. He would also go on to earn a Bible degree from the Logos Bible Institute in Sun Valley, Calif. He graduated from LeTourneau University with a B.S. in nonprofit management.

Gordon and his wife, Brenda, reside in Florence.
