Biography

COLLEGE: Pride played two seasons for coach Randy Daniel at Wallace State Community College...she became the first player in program history to earn first team NJCAA All-America honors in 2014...as a sophomore, led the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) with 524 kills, 189 blocks and a .556 hitting percentage...added 78 digs as the Lady Lions posted a 35-10 record and made its sixth consecutive NJCAA national tournament appearance...completed her JUCO career with 843 kills and 263 blocks...was a second-team ACCC/All-Region 22 selection as a freshman before being named the 2014 ACCC Player of the Year as a sophomore.

HIGH SCHOOL: She played outside and middle at Madison County High School for coach Redena Clemons...helped lead the Tigers to a county, area, region and Class 4A state championship in 2012...received state all-tournament honors as a junior and senior...was the 2012 MVP of the Class 4A state tournament.

PERSONAL: Her full name is Syretha Schanta Priade. She is the daughter of Ronald Troupe and Terri Pride. She was born on July 22, 1995 and has two brothers and one sister. She is majoring in physical therapy at UNA.
