FLORENCE, Ala. -- The University of North Alabama women's soccer team will host a Gulf South Conference Tournament quarterfinal match on Tuesday, October 31 at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex against Valdosta State at 7:00 p.m.
North Alabama finished its regular-season 13-3-1 overall and is the fourth seed in the GSC event. Lee is the No. 1 seed, followed by Mississippi College, West Florida and UNA. The top four seeds host quarterfinal matches Tuesday, with the GSC semifinals and championship game set for November 3 and 5 at the Emory Folmar Soccer Complex in Montgomery, Ala.
UNA and Valdosta State fought to a 1-1 tie in overtime during the regular-season, back on October 13 in Valdosta, Ga. UNA is 5-4-1 all-time against the Blazers but is just 1-2 against VSU in Florence.
North Alabama is making its 10th all-time appearance in the GSC Tournament and has reached the championship match six times and claimed GSC titles in 2011 and 2015.

Kylie Huey of Arlington, Tenn., and sophomore
Shelby Wall of Auburn, Ala., who rank among the GSC's offensive leaders. Huey leads the league in goals scored (13) and points (30), while Wall is No. 1 in shots (88), second in points (26) and fifth in goals (10).
