HUNTSVILLE – Natasha Fomina had 22 kills to lead the University of North Alabama volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep at UAH on Tuesday. The 25-22, 25-15, 25-21 victory is the sixth straight for UNA and gives the team a 24-4 record on the season with a 14-3 mark in Gulf South Conference play.

The Lions hit .400 as a team, with Lexie Bradley and Peyton Lang adding 11 kills each. Jayden Davila-McClary had 49 assists.

UNA had to rally to win the opening set. Trailing 20-16, the Lions used an 8-0 run to take control. Fomina had six kills in the frame, including the game winner.

After surrendering the first point of the second set, UNA scored the next five to grab a lead it would never relinquish. The Lions hit .514 in the game with back-to-back kills by Lang closing it out.

North Alabama led 18-13 in the final game before holding off a late UAH rally. The Chargers closed the gap to 21-18 to prompt a UNA timeout. UAH eventually got within two points twice down the stretch, but could get no closer.

Ashtyn Kapovich turned in a match-high 15 digs while Lang completed a double-double on the night with 10 digs. UAH (14-13 overall, 7-10 GSC) was led by Anna DeLuc's eight kills.

UNA will play at Mississippi College Friday at 7 p.m. before returning to Flowers Hall the following weekend for its final two regular-season matches of the season.
