FLORENCE – Michay Jackson and Madison Ruble had 10 kills each to lead the University of North Alabama volleyball team to a 3-1 win over NJIT Tuesday at Flowers Hall. The second straight ASUN Conference win gives the Lions a 4-20 record on the season with a 2-13 mark in league play.

After splitting the first two sets, UNA finished strong to get the 25-21, 19-25, 25-16, 25-23 victory. The Lions were strong at the net, getting 13 total blocks on the night. Playing in her final match at Flowers Hall, Ruble had a career-high eight blocks to go along with her .222 hitting percentage.

Fellow senior Jayden Davila-McClary paced the offensive attack with 31 assists while three players reached double figures in digs. Genesis Benítez led the way with 24 digs, eclipsing the 20-dig mark for the sixth time this season. Catie Ladner added 13 digs while Emma Ellis rounded out the top defensive performers with 11 digs for the Lions.

UNA will close the season Friday at North Florida.
