UNA VOLLEYBALL FALLS 3-0 AT STETSON

DeLand, Fla., - Stetson jumped out to early leads in each of the three sets during a 25-12, 25-14, 25-18 sweep over the University of North Alabama volleyball team on Saturday. The loss leaves the Lions with a 3-18 overall record, including a 1-7 showing in ASUN Conference play.

UNA struggled to find offense on the night, hitting .122 as a team with only 26 kills. For the second straight match, Claire Bullington led the Lions, notching six kills and a block.

Mariana Trujillo added 12 assists for North Alabama while Mackenzie Sullivan produced a match-high 17 digs. The sophomore from Placentia, Calif., has moved into sixth place in the ASUN standings with a 4.24 digs-per-set average.

Stetson, which evened its ASUN record at 4-4, had two players in double figures, including Riley Nieporte's match-high 13 kills.

UNA will play at Lipscomb on Tuesday. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m. at Allen Arena on the LU campus in Nashville.
