NASHVILLE, Tenn., – After grabbing momentum with a pair of dominant victories, Lipscomb held off North Alabama in the third set to complete a 3-0 home sweep Tuesday evening in ASUN Conference volleyball action. With the 25-9, 25-9, 25-17 loss, UNA falls to 3-19 overall and 1-8 in ASUN play, remaining in eighth place in the league standings.

Lipscomb (11-9 overall, 7-2 ASUN) scored the first eight points of the match and never looked back. After posting the consecutive 25-9 wins, the home team took a 13-5 lead late in the third set. The Lions were able to get within six twice, but could get no closer. Megan Kuper led the Bisons with 12 kills and 12 digs on the night.

The Lions had a negative team hitting percentage for the third time this season, collecting 17 kills off 94 swings with 20 attack errors. Claire Bullington, Anna Katherine Griggs, Maggie Sullivan and Christina Ellwanger had three kills each. Griggs added four blocks and has climbed into the Top 10 of the conference standings with an average of 0.89 blocks per set.

UNA's Mackenzie Sullivan reached double digits for the eighth straight match and 12^th time this season with a match-high 18 digs.

North Alabama returns home to host Kennesaw State on Friday. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Flowers Hall.
