LIONS DROP 7-3 DECISION AT LITTLE ROCK

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock took an early 3-0 lead and held on for a 7-3 win over North Alabama is the second game of a three-game baseball series.
 
The Lions won the opening game of the series on Friday but managed just three runs on seven hits in Saturday's match-up.
 
The Trojans got two runs in the second inning and one in the third. UNA scored a run in the fourth when Reid SIngewald singled, stole second and scored on a Harris Kain RBI-double to make it 3-1.
 
Little Rock added three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth for a 7-1 advantage before UNA got single runs in the seventh and ninth innings to make the final count 7-3.
 
In the seventh, Reid Homan singled, advanced to third on an error and scored on a balk.
 
In the ninth, Homan tripled and scored on a ground-out by Devne Daniel.
 
Jacob Laws (0-2) took the loss for UNA, allowing four runs on four hits over four complete innings. He walked three and struckout seven. Austin Nichols gave up three runs on three hits over three innings of work and Colton Teal pitched a scoreless inning in relief.
 
The series concludes with a single game on Sunday. The start time has been moved up to 11:00 a.m. due to impending rain later in the day.
